We are coming up on the close of a great week. We got to play with friends at the park and in respective homes, the weather has been amazing, no major happenings(except for my fire-phobia induced panic last night, and my grandma's trip to the hospital) and got quite a lot accomplished.
We had decided that we were going to go to Ohio for a week and a half or so, but at the last minute decided against it. With Marty's schedule, him driving us down and coming back in time for work just wasn't going to happen. We were really looking forward to week of Sydney sitting while my brother and SIL were at work, going to my mom's property for an extended weekend, and my brother's surprise birthday party on Tuesday. Oh well.

We are going to go look at this house on Sunday. I will let you know.

I was able to find a place that might be able to help my grandparents. My grandma fell and tore a bunch of ligaments in her knee, and that was just the last straw for me. If no one else is going to do anything, my mom and I will. I called around and found this place.
They are going to have a nurse come put and evaluate them. If they need it, they can have people come to the house and take care of light housework, medications... all kinds of things. Apparently my grandpa can get alzheimer's benefits through the VA. I asked my grandma why she hasn't applied for them and she said because my grandpa wont. Um... he has alzheimer's. Of course he won't.
I will probably drive down for the appointment.

I called 1-800-buckeye yesterday and had them send a tourist packet. We are really looking forward to being tourists in our hometown!
We are going to go to Gueauga Lake, Amish country, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The National Inventors Hall of Fame, Quaker Square (for the best oatmeal cookies anywhere!) and maybe to see a game.
Oh yeah... and my brother-in-law's wedding.
